Tracking Code Process Improvement Tool

Process Improvement Tool

The eFlex Assembly Process Improvement Tool provides a built in time study of all interlocked assembly tasks and analytics for real-time feedback on the impact of any production change or the current status of the production line. A standardized process improvement methodology allows us to better evaluate how we perform work. When all of the major players are involved in process improvement, they can collectively focus on reducing operations costs, manpower, materials and process time.

Key evaluated parameters in the Process Improvement Tool:

  • Cycle times (takt times)
  • Non-conforming parts related to tasks
  • Manufacturing lead time
  • Work in process

The primary function of the Process Improvement Tool is to easily capture data to statistically evaluate IE process standards and IE process changes.

What Does It Do?

With increased flexibility to change processes, it is necessary to establish a baseline for the parameters of the current process and evaluate any changes using standard statistical tools. The Process Improvement Tool does the following:

  • Allows users to statistically evaluate historical data to establish a performance baseline.
  • Identifies constraining processes.
  • Statistically confirms improvement efforts.
  • Provides population data for more accurate balancing.

Analytics, Charting and Graphics Tools

Just as eFlex Assembly encourages standards, the Process Improvement Tool utilizes standard analytics, charting and graphing to facilitate a common measurement perspective within and between assembly systems for:

  • A built-in time study of all interlocked tasks.
  • Real-time analytics that provide feedback on the impact of any change or the current status of the line.
